Lt Col. Jame D. Stitt II, Board Director

Lieutenant Colonel James Douglas Stitt II United States Army Retired, began his 36 year army career as a private E-1 on 31 July 1974 after graduating from high school. Attended basic training at Fort Knox Ky. and armored school (tanks) at Fort Hood Tx. Spent the next year in a half at Fort Hood, later re-assigned to 3rd Inf Div. Kitzingen West Germany and promoted to Sargent. Attended Officer Candidate School and promoted to 2nd Lieutenant Armor on 12 Oct 1984, attended Armored Officer Basic Course 1985, Armored Officer Advance Course 1998, Combined Arms and Services Staff School 1999, and graduated from Command and General Staff College 2005. Attended Regents College, and has an Associate of Science in Welding Technology for Cuesta College. Company Commander on the streets of Los Angeles during the Rodney King riots, and as the Officer in Charge of the Iraqi Army modernization project 2011.

Lt. Col Stitt is married to Karin Stitt and has six children and nine grandchildren. Lives in Morro Bay Ca, attend Rock Harbor Christian Fellowship. Jim is the currently on the Board of directors Association of Amputee Surfer (AKA AmpSurf), is also on the Board of Directors for the San Louis Obispo Veterans Collaborative, is on the planning committee for the Unfinished Business Memorial Day Jam, and a member of the Arroyo Grande Rotary Club as well as member in Atascadero Moose Lodge, the VFW, and American Legion.
