Colonel Bill Crewe, Field Artillery, United States Army, Retired, was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through the ROTC program after graduating with a BA degree from the College of William and Mary in 1969. He entered active duty in January 1971, after receiving an MBA from Florida State University. He completed Field Artillery Officer Basic in 1971. He subsequently completed the following military training: Motor Officer – 1971, Field Artillery Officer Advanced – 1975, Command and General Staff – 1977, Infantry Officer Advanced – 1981, Information System Officer – 1983, Associate Logistic Executive Development – 1984, ODCSPER IMA Mobilization – 1986, Air Defense Officer Advanced – 1987, Air War College – 1989, Field Artillery Target Acquisition and Senior Field Artillery Officer Refresher – 1990. He was initially deployed in 1971 to USAREUR and served in the 2d Battalion 41st FA and subsequently Headquarters 3d Infantry Division. In his 26 years of experience as a Field Artillery officer, he served at all levels of the Army from platoon to Department of the Army staff.

Concurrent with his Army Reserve assignments, he was a Partner in Price Waterhouse Management Consulting Services, he then joined IBM in the formation of Global Business Services. He managed consulting units with up to 600 staff and earned two global recognitions for his accomplishments. His focus in consulting was in healthcare assisting payers and pharmacy benefit management entities. In addition to his degrees from William and Mary and Florida State, he earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. His professional certifications include Certified Public Account (CPA), Certified Project Manager (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Upon his retirement in June 2017. Bill and his wife Sandi moved to San Luis Obispo. His volunteer community activities include: American Legion; City of San Luis Obispo Human Relations Commission – Commissioner; Fort Ord Area (California and Nevada) Retired Soldiers Council – Vice Chair; Los Padres Council, Boys Scouts of America; Military Officers Association of America; Senior Volunteer Services Volunteer Program of the Central Coast – Board of Directors; Shower the People; The College of William and Mary – Alumni Admissions Network; US Army Population Outreach Program – Advisor; Veterans Treatment Court (Central Coast Veterans Helping Veterans) – Mentor.
